Wrench Sets

By definition, a wrench is a mechanical tool that is used to apply torque to turn nuts, bolts and other items that are designed to be fitted to its interface. There are various types of wrenches that are available. These include the open end wrenches, the adjustable end, box end wrench, torque wrenches, combination wrench, socket wrench and so on and so forth. Wrench sets come separately and also as part of large mechanical tool sets. The wrench sets contain several wrenches that are combined together for various purposes. The most commonly encountered metrics include 10mm - 11mm - 12mm - 13mm - 14mm and 15mm.

For specialized usages there are metric wrench sets which come in sets of 7/9/12 wrenches etc. and the SAE wrench sets that again are available in less than 1" and more than 1" measurements. Then there are the combo wrench sets which is an intelligent mix of the wrenches of various stubby and metric sizes. There are a number of brands that sell wrench sets online. Professional is one such brand that has earned itself a good name in mechanical tool sets. Most of the wrench sets come in a vinyl cover or soft casing that makes it easier to carry along at the site of work. Buying online has an added advantage that one may compare the prices of various wrench sets available and also get discounted rates.

For use with heavy equipments, industrial and automotive use, large wrench sets are available. Wrench tool sets can also be bought. These come with a complete kit along with screws. In some cases the wrenches have plastic handles that provide better grip and easy handling.
